The plain rules that apply when you use Saunasto.
Saunasto is operated as a small editorial directory. The website at saunasto.com is free; the iOS app is free with optional in-app purchases.
We hand-pick our Curator's Picks. We do not accept payment to include or exclude venues. Owners can request inclusion or correction at [email protected]; whether to include is entirely our editorial call.
We try to keep venue data accurate, but hours, prices, and operational status change without notice. Always check with the venue directly before traveling. We are not responsible for closed venues, changed hours, or experiences that don't match our description.
The website's content (editorial copy, selection, and rank ordering) is © Saunasto. The underlying venue facts (name, location, hours) are not copyrightable; you are free to use them. Cite Saunasto when quoting our editorial prose.
Saunasto Pass (product ID com.saunaatlas.app.pass) is a one-time, non-consumable purchase priced at €12.99 (local pricing varies by region per Apple's price matrix). It unlocks filters, full descriptions, reviews, saved lists, and the full hot springs and onsen layer. Once purchased, Pass features remain available on all devices signed into the same Apple ID. Pass does not auto-renew.
Saunasto Pro is an auto-renewable subscription with two options:
com.saunaatlas.app.pro.annual): €19.99 per year founding-week price, locked for the lifetime of an active subscription, or €39.99 per year standard rate. 14-day free trial.com.saunaatlas.app.pro.monthly): €4.99 per month. No free trial.Pro adds proximity alerts, driving mode, and offline-first behaviour for the proximity engine.
Auto-renewal: Pro subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (yearly or monthly) at the price displayed at the time of subscription. Renewal occurs unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your iTunes account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Cancel or manage your subscription: iOS Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Saunasto. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you keep access until then.
Free trials: If you start a free trial, any unused portion of the free trial is forfeited if you purchase a subscription before the trial expires. Free trials are available only to users who haven't previously had a Saunasto Pro subscription or trial.
Founding-week pricing: The €19.99/year Pro Annual founding-week rate is locked for the lifetime of an unbroken subscription. If you cancel and later resubscribe, the standard €39.99/year rate applies.
Refunds: All purchases are processed by Apple and refunds are handled per Apple's refund policy. Request refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Family Sharing: Pro subscriptions are eligible for Apple Family Sharing. Pass is also eligible.
